Race 2 – Sandown Racecourse
BOOM BOOM POW has struck the crossbar in all 3 outings to date, including twice by under a length. Now heading into the nursery ranks off a mark of 71 she looks primed for an open account. SAFARI DREAM found the frame in his first couple of runs before holding on for a decent 10th in the Super Sprint. He’s capable of landing a blow off an opening 74.

MERCURIUS POWER edged out a narrow success over C&D a week ago. The 5lb penalty is completely cancelled by his rider’s claim and a double looks within reach for Andrew Balding’s charge. ALDHAJA didn’t see out the 10f here latest but now back over the mile looks capable of plenty.

CANTERBURY BELL is a highly progressive Willie Haggas filly who has won her last couple out outings. A 2lb hike for her latest is manageable but she loses the services of Tom Marquand. DAMZA DELLA LUNA won with ease and 7 in hand at Pontefract latest and could hold her own despite a hefty 8lb rise.

TUDDENHAM GREEN caught the eye in 3rd on handicap bow at Haydock after some decent efforts in the novice/maiden ranks. His rider takes 5lb off today and that could spark the improvement required for a maiden win. FIRST OFFICER seemed to need more run when 3rd of 4 at Ascot latest. Now afforded it off the same mark we could see a big improvement.
