Race 1 – Plumpton Racecourse
MARK OF GOLD was a decent runner on the flat under Richard Hannon and has made a pleasing shift to hurdling since joining Gary Moore. He has improved with each run and he was impressive when home with 7 in hand over C&D last month. He should have more to come in these ranks despite a penalty. SAN GIOVANNI took a step in the right direction when 3rd at Wincanton on debut. He had excuses at Taunton since so could resume progression.

Race 2 – Plumpton Racecourse
DYNAMITE KENTUCKY is lightly-raced for his age but has really come good since being fitted with blinkers, winning both outings with style. A further 5lb hike for his recent C&D score will be felt but Richard Newland’s gelding looks primed for a solid hat trick bid. LANSPARK isn’t the most consistent operator but he has won the last two races he was able to complete so he’s a wildcard here.

Race 3 – Plumpton Racecourse
CHINWAG is a very useful hurdler who showed plenty of promise when 2nd on chase bow at Newton Abbot in October. He went one better at the expense of that same winner the next they met at Ffos Las. Last seen 3rd in a 4 horse contest at Wetherby he is a big player, especially if there is more cut in the ground. UBETYA is worth considering on yard bow for Paul Nicholls, he hasn’t been seen in 422 days off but has proven himself quite talented in a handful of appearances.

Race 4 – Plumpton Racecourse
FULL OF LIGHT won on debut in an Irish bumper before joining Nicky Henderson. He struck the crossbar in his first couple over hurdles but went one better over C&D latest. A 5lb hike is workable with Nico de Boinville retaining the ride. GETALEAD notched a nice hat trick in late 2021 before not being disgraced in defeat the last twice. He’s still in good shape and could feasibly mount an attack here.

Race 5 – Plumpton Racecourse
FAIRWAY FREDDY hasn’t been very fortunate of late but returns to a C&D he has won convincingly the last twice. He posted a couple of decent 3rd finishes at Kempton late last year and could bounce right back in these surrounds in a small field. RED HAPPY was well-backed on UK/yard debut for David Pipe but failed to finish the race. He has since had wind surgery and may well be able to make amends with backers.

Race 6 – Plumpton Racecourse
GAOT has posted several pleasing placed finishes and looks capable of building on a recent Taunton 3rd in a moderate contest off 1lb lower. CHECKITSME battled her way to success by a head at Leicester last month and wasn’t disgraced when 3rd under penalty. She’s up 4lb today but should remain competitive.
