Race 2 – Newmarket Racecourse
POPMASTER notched a couple of impressive sprints in these ranks back in 2021 and while unable to land a blow in a couple of valuable heritage handicaps since this represents a very achievable task for the power team of Ed Walker and Tom Marquand. RAATEA is better than his last outing at Hereford based off his recent efforts and could strike once more off a seemingly lenient 91.

RIBHI has won 2 of 3 outings and with Jim Crowley back in the plate the pair look to make their partnership 3 from 3 provided he handles the return to 7f and isn’t too dusty from 194 days off. NEW SCIENCE holds a 2000 Guineas entry ticket and was last seen beaten into 3rd at very short odds in a Listed event in Saudi Arabia. He’s dangerous over this trip and is still paired with the mighty William Buick but will do very well to give 7lb to the selection.

Race 4 – Newmarket Racecourse
MEGALLAN gets the nod on comeback from 192 days off over a trip that should be ideal for this Gosden Colt with Frankie Dettori back in the saddle. This represents a drop in class to the same level he won over the mile at Salisbury on penultimate run. MASTER OF THE SEAS demands respect as the runner-up in last year’s 2000 Guineas. He is now a gelding and can make amends for a failure to launch when withdrawn from the Breeders’ Cup Mile.

CACHET has proven a progressive filly for George Boughey despite being winless since her debut victory over 6f here last year. She’s found the frame at these levels and higher and was notably 3rd in the Fillies’ Mile before a respectable 4th in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf. This isn’t the strongest line-up for this level and she can get her way here. HELLO YOU has toppled the selection in the past at G2 level when home in the Rockfell over C&D on penultimate outing but may not be able to confirm the form under a 3lb penalty.

CRENELLE was hampered on debut but still manage to land ½ a length 2nd despite disappointing favourite backers. She’ll have learned plenty there and is fancied to make amends here for the Gosdens. FONTEYN kicked things off with a promising enough 3rd on debut at Beverley before a much-improved ½ length 2nd at Newcastle in October. On 3rd outing for Kevin Ryan she could give the selection the most of think about.

Race 7 – Newmarket Racecourse
ISRAR won over the mile on debut at Doncaster before settling for 2nd best at Salisbury in September. The up in trip following a 194 day break could see this Gosden Colt get his way once more in a contest that has acted as a springboard to Group company the last three years running. WIND YOUR NECK IN had the selection in tow when scoring in the aforementioned Salisbury contest. He returns from a break of his own to line up for a stellar hat trick. The accolade is within reach but the selection is 8lb better off and could reverse the form.
