JOMONT was denied his own hat trick when beaten by a progressive rival. He can pounce now up in trip if the selection has been pinched by the assessor.

COLOURFUL DREAM was well-backed on debut but failed to impress in 9th at HQ in August. Charlie Appleby’s filly has since had wind surgery and is likely to improve for the experience. AFTER THE RAIN is a stablemate to the selection and could make a big impression paired with David Probert on debut.

DUTCH DECOY has struck the crossbar the last twice since winning over C&D off 2lb lower. Mark Johnston’s charge won’t have to dig too deep to get back on top in this field. TOMMY TAYLOR capped off a local 6f hat trick that included a dead hear and is interesting now upped to 7f again off 4lb higher.

BERNARD SPIERPOINT landed a nice hat trick and wasn’t disgraced when 2nd on the hunt for a 4 timer at Southwell latest. He is off a career-high 59 mark so he’ll need to bring his best but is quite capable of doing so. CRUNCHIE is back from a short spell and has swapped cheekpieces for blinkers, he could find a bit of money here.

ASADJUMEIRAH dead-heated for 1st over C&D latest and off 2lb higher could double down without having his ticket torn in half. Cam Hardie takes over in the plate and could time his offensive to stave off all challengers. ABERAMA GOLD has to be considered having won stronger races off higher marks in the past. He seemed to hint at a return to form when 5th at Southwell latest and could strike off 91.

CLEAR ANGEL went down by a neck into 2nd over C&D late last month. He is getting better with each run and won’t have to do much to get compensation despite the 4lb hike. DEEVIOUS BEAU has found the frame in 3 of his last 4 outings and should be competitive once more now dropped 1lb.

ENGLES ROCK was last seen edging out a narrow victory over C&D in January and is 1lb better off as the 2lb rise is cancelled by Oisin McSweeney’s 3lb claim. This perch seems ideal for Lucinda Russell’s mare to double down. MAGICAL MILE got home at Chelmsford last week and is respected but the 5lb penalty will be felt. Harry Burns is a pleasing booking so the pair could work through it.
