Race 2 – Musselburgh Racecourse
SHOWMEDEMONEY had trouble in the run when 4th on comeback/yard bow for Ian Jardine at Wolverhampton latest. With a drop in grade he can land a deserved maiden victory. MACKENZIE ROSE represents Mark Johnston who trained last year’s winner. She’s shown capability in the past and should be fighting fit for a comeback 5th at Chelmsford.

RAIN CAP is a 2 time C&D winner who had excuses when 8th after a misfire at the gate. That was his comeback run and if it has done him any good he can press his claims here. HOW BIZARRE is a 3 time local winner, latest coming off 13lb higher. Those numbers see him respected but he needs to find form very quickly.

Race 4 – Musselburgh Racecourse
PANAMA CITY showed a good amount of improvement when 2nd at 33/1 on UK/yard debut for Tim Easterby at Pontefract 22 days ago. Gelding has unlocked improvement and he can go one better here in a small field. CODE PURPLE wasn’t much on debut in 7th but learned plenty and put it to good work when 3rd at the same Pontefract meet.

Race 5 – Musselburgh Racecourse
THE GLOAMING went down by a length and a half over this trip at Catterick following a comeback 7th at Newcastle in March. He’s up 1lb today but now having peak run could gain due compensation over ideal C&D. ELZAAL was 2nd by a neck to the selection over C&D back in October and is respected if he can leave his latest 14th place misfire in the same Catterick race that saw the selection 2nd.

BRAZEN AKOYA returns to turf after a very successful campaign over AW in late 2021. If she can bring any aspect of her recent form to turf she could prove tough to beat here. LOOSE LIPS has been hard to back but now dropped in trip once more might be able to find some improvement.

LIGHTNING ATTACK returns from a fruitful hurdle campaign and a switch back to the flat might see him return to the winners’ circle on the flat for the first time since January 2020. WADACRE GOGO could have more to come after a respectable 3rd at Wolverhampton. She remains unexposed over tur and that could be form enough in this sort of event.
