TIGERBYTHETAIL is entitled to bounce back from a well-held 4th at Uttoxeter latest. His bumper and hurdle outings prior suggest he can recover.

Now he’s tasted success he can follow up off 5lb higher for the in-form Gary Moore yard. STEP TO THE TOP is expected to find some form of improvement now sent into the handicap ranks off a mark of 87.

Race 4 – Market Rasen Racecourse
STORM OF LIGHT has done plenty to like in his 4 starts to date, an up in trip could see him unlock another gear for the respected Olly Murphy operation. LE GRAND LION unlocked the final piece of improvement when eking out a maiden win at 10/1 in first-time cheekpieces at Huntingdon on Boxing Day. He should be capable of another strong effort for Ben Pauling.

GUETAPAN COLLONGES has proven highly progressive since shifting to fences, he took the final step forward when home with 14 in hand at Wetherby a month ago. He can handle the 9lb hike now he’s found his groove. ANIMAL took a big step forward when victorious at Fakenham with 11 in hand on New Year’s Day. He is another progressive recruit to this sphere and should be in the mix.

FREDDY FANTAPAN was a useful enough performer over timber but really came into his own when sent off over fences at Huntingdon over this trip. He had plenty in hand that day and looks suited to put another foot forward off 5lb higher. BRING THE ACTION fired up late to edge out a short head victory at Wetherby latest and should give another honest account now able to use his rider’s full 5lb claim.

ROSEARELLI hasn’t shown a whole lot to like of late but there was something to be taken from her Lingfield 5th in November. Now headed into the handicaps and tackling fences with a tongue-tie on, we might just see some improvement. WILDKATZE can bounce back after being pulled up at Bangor-on-Dee. She has shown promise in these ranks, including 2nd at Fakenham on penultimate outing.
