NATTY NIGHT is respected for the in-form Venetia Williams string. He should be better off for a comeback 3rd at Hereford and could prove the challenger with Ned Fox taking a handy 6lb off.

APOLOGISE was a convincing flat winner across the Irish sea in October and has since joined Oliver Greenall. He can build on that now headed into the hurdle ranks where he can do very well. BEAUTIFUL SURPRISE was a decent flat performer early on but wasn’t able to recapture that standard. She is still respected here and could also be a useful recruit to the National Hunt ranks.

CHIANTI CLASSICO won readily on hurdle bow at Chepstow in late October. A 7lb penalty can be overcome and he is shaping up to be a very useful sort. PARK HILL DANCER stormed home with 17 in hand on his sole outing in the bumper ranks. Nicky Henderson’s charge is respected now tackling timber after 254 days off.

OLIVER’S ISLAND has improved measurable in his 3 outings this season and was last seen 2nd by a nose. He has been dropped 2lb and has his rider’s 5lb claim once more going in his favour. ALI STAR BERT has won off a break before but was a few months rather than the better part of a year. He is a trip winner who is worth a market check.

SUPASUNRISE has found the frame in both outings over timber of late. Another go off the 83 mark together with a 7lb claimer can see him press for success now tackling fences for the Twiston-Davies team. ONENIGHTINTOWN is the danger having been in excellent shape in the chase ranks. He should be right amongst it and could leverage his experience to great effect here.

FUTURE BENEFITS kicked his chase career off with a bang when home with 2+ in hand at Newcastle last month. An 8lb hike seems workable and he could have a lot more to come here. SHANBALLY ROSE has been doing good work of late, landing a 20f win at Perth followed by a 2nd by a nose at Musselburgh a month ago. A 2lb rise shouldn’t anchor her from being a contender.

DONNACHA is the pick with experience following a debut 3rd at Chepstow. Normal improvement can see him right there at the finish.
