GOLDEN SPICE has a nice hat trick on the line after making a successful handicap bow over C&D off the back of a nice Southwell win. A 3lb hike is very lenient and she looks hard to beat. LORD VADER was a much-improved 2nd at Kempton latest and can contest the finish.

Race 2 – Lingfield Racecourse
SOYOUNIQUE went down by a short head when trying to make all at Kempton. He has been hard to keep out of the frame since winning over C&D in January and could land due compensation. ALWAYS DREAMING is coming to the boil nicely and warrants consideration after placing the last thrice for the reapplication of cheekpieces.

Race 3 – Lingfield Racecourse
GOLD MEDAL won with authority on debut over this trip at Wolverhampton and wasn’t disgraced when 5th after being sent off into the Listed ranks over soft ground at Doncaster. A drop into calmer waters and return to the AW can see him right back on top. CARPE FORTUNA was a superb 2nd on debut over 7f at Kempton at 66/1 odds. With that under his belt he could go quite well. He is somewhat unlucky to have to come up against the selection but could surprise.

Race 4 – Lingfield Racecourse
PUERTO DE VEGA got back on the scoreboard over C&D by a neck a month back. He does excellent work on the AW and looks capable of striking once more off 2lb higher with Marco Ghiani taking over the ride. IMPEACH was 2nd by a neck that day and will be able to make a bid to flip the form off 1lb better off terms.

HOMERIC failed to live up to market support when 7th over the mile at Kempton latest. A short rest and a return to a longer trip could see him build on the promise shown on his debut 3rd. NOVA VIDA showed plenty to work with when 6th on debut at 250/1 odds. She’s capable of much more and should come forward now running with experience.

THEONLYWAYISWESSEX took another step forward when 4th over C&D on handicap bow. A 1lb lower mark and the benefit of that experience can see Alan King’s charge continue to improve. CHEROKEE DANCE has been consistent since scoring his maiden over 12f at Wolverhampton. He’s likely to be in the mix for Ian Williams off an unchanged mark of 70.

TWILIGHT BAY was denied by ½ a length when 3rd to JASS YARD over minimum trip here. Now 11lb better off he can flip the form and get a deserved maiden win with an extra furlong to operate over. JASS YARD won’t lie down and could hold off the offensive despite the turn at the weights.
