STRATOSPHERIC is the pick with experience off a fairly promising 4th over C&D on debut. Justin Snaith’s colt should sharpen up for the effort. NOT IN DOUBT was nothing special in 10th on debut but found fair improvement when 4th at Durbanville back in March. He may find progression here.
Top Tip – STRATOSPHERIC (9)
One to consider – NOT IN DOUBT (6)

SHE’S MY CAPTAIN made a solid return from a few months off when 3rd over this trip at Durbanville at the end of March. She’s found the frame in 4 of 6 outings and is long due a win. PRINCESS LOUISA caught the eye in 4th at 40/1 over C&D back in February. She’s had some time off since but can take a big leap forward.

CAPITANA turns up well after a break and is a cut above average. She has an exceptional C&D record and should be right amongst it here for Brett Crawford. KITTY CAT CHAT is a similar type to the selection but is even more impressive having won 4 of 5 outings. These two look capable of quite the battle for the return honours and have exotic appeal.

BELGARION sets the standard here as the 2020 Durban July winner at G1 level. He’s proven after a break so could still make a splash in these nice calm waters for Justin Snaith and Anton Marcus. RAIN IN THE NEWMARKET is a solid C&D performer who was last seen 2nd over 7f here back in February. She does alright after a break and can find some more minor money here or even upset.
Top Tip – BELGARION (1)
One to consider – RAIN IN THE NEWMARKET (5)
Race 7 – Kenilworth Racecourse
SUDDEN STAR was toppled late over 10f at Durbanville when sent off favourite on yard bow for Brett Crawford. A return to this C&D can see him make amends with supporters and gain valuable compensation. LION’S HEAD has been doing good work without winning all year and was has accounted for a few of these rivals in the past. He’s likely to be able to make his presence felt here.

SONG has the best of the draws and is fresh from retracing the winning thread over 10f at Durbanville. She could have more to come on these terms. RIVER CAFE should be having her peak run following a better than the raw result 5th over 7f here.
Top Tip – SONG (10)
One to consider – RIVER CAFE (3)
Race 9 – Kenilworth Racecourse
CELTIC NIGHT was superb at 11/1 odds when denied by a head on comeback run over 6f here last month. With that to work from, Brett Crawford’s filly could take a lot of beating now upped to 7f. MARMALISA is a C&D winner who may have needed the run when 5th over 6f here. A return to this trip could also see her a winning chance.
Top Tip – CELTIC NIGHT (3)
One to consider – MARMALISA (1)

WHOA WHOA WHOA has done little wrong in 4 outings, winning 3 and being denied by ½ a length when 2nd over 6f here. She’s off top weight and isn’t ideally suited by conditions but should simply prove too good here. SONIC BURST is a reliable sort who doesn’t mind this C&D, she’s not one to run a bad race so can be in the mix here.
Top Tip – WHOA WHOA WHOA (1)
One to consider – SONIC BURST (5)
