BETTY BOOP gets the nod in a field with plenty of newcomers. She has regal pedigree and should be well-readied by Justin Snaith for a powerful first impression. CIAO BELLA is the first out of a G1 winner and could also live up to standard for the same yard.

CIDER HOUSE RULES makes strong appeal on debut as a son of Pomodoro for the useful combination of Anton Marcus and Justin Snaith, check the betting. JAYRANI is worth considering as the sole runner in the field who has any rules experience. He’s found 3rd a couple of times and could put those runs to good use here.

SUDDEN SONG improved with each run to date and now back from several months off and now under the care of Brett Crawford could pick up right where he left off. TCHAIKOVSKY made a pleasing return from a short rest when 3rd at Durban and now tacking 7f again with a run under his belt could build on prior promise.

CAPTAIN TATTERS bolted up with 7 in hand when refitted with cheekpieces over 6f at Fairview back in February. He’s better off at the weights here and could double down over a trip that should prove ideal. WILD COAST is well-in today and has won off longer breaks than this so could strike on first outing since December.

Race 6 – Kenilworth Racecourse
NTINGA won her maiden here 3 starts back but failed to back it up when beating none home on double bid over the same 9f. She bounced back somewhat when a length 4th over 10f at Durbanville and could do even better now dropped back to the mile where she has found 3rd a couple of times. SWEET REPEAT might have needed the run when beating none home but nonetheless not disgraced over 10f at Durbanville in March. A return to her sole winning C&D sees her a winning chance despite a less than ideal draw.

QUE SHIRAZ won by a short head on his sole attempt over C&D back in October. He’s not the most consistent of performers but a similar showing here can see him improve on his comeback run. VAN HUNKS came back from a few months off to land a promising enough 3rd over this trip on handicap bow.

DRAGONFLY is a talented sort who has placed in 3 of 4 attempts over this trip. While his wins have come over further he seems the sort who can plant the flag over 6f given the right opening. QUEEN’S WOOD won well enough on debut but has struggled to back it up. His latest 2nd over C&D suggests he might be on track to finally do so on start number 5.
