OH SO CHARMING showed ample promise in 3rd on debut at Thirsk. He backed it up perfectly when home with 5 in hand at Redcar since. If he brings his form to the Poly he’ll be a tough nut to crack. BULLDOG SPIRIT won over this trip at Newcastle on debut but didn’t quite back it up when 5th at Redcar to the selection. He should be able to leave that run behind him with an honest effort.

DECORATION represents last year’s winning trainer in Roger Varian. She’s a regally-bred Frankel filly and should be well-readied for the job. MISS DOLLY ROCKER is the pick on form, having landed 2nd in both runs to date, including over C&D on debut.

ZOUZANNA made a strong start to life when 2nd by a length at Windsor over this trip last month. With that under her belt, she can go one better if she takes to the Poly. BECCARA ROSE showed plenty of promise in 4th on debut at Doncaster. Normal improvement can see her enter the equation.

GARDEN ROUTE caught the eye when 3rd on debut over this trip at Newmarket in September. Willie Haggas has his string in good shape of late and he can go very well here. FOX JOURNEY strikes as the sort with plenty of untapped potential for Sir Michael Stoute. He might find this surface to his liking.

RING OF LIGHT has become something of a revelation since returning to this surface in September. Winning both starts with authority, he has a nice hat trick up for grabs off just 3lb higher. MASQOOL has equally powerful claims, having already secured his hat trick. A battle for the quartet is on the cards if he brings his best.

TENJIN returned from a spell to deliver a nice C&D win on his first outing over this surface/nursery bow. There should be plenty more to come despite a 6lb rise. GERALT OF RIVIA has been building toward a big run. He has improved consistently and now back from a spell and wind surgery could get his way on attempt 5.

SUNDAYINMAY has struck the crossbar in both outings since her spell. She can go one better with peak fitness and 1lb more to weather. END RESULT could have her way here as she drops in grade following a respectable C&D 3rd. David Probert is a pleasing presence in the saddle.

BASCULE wasn’t great in a valuable handicap at Newmarket a month ago, but wasn’t disgraced either. A drop in class off 3lb less could see a confidence boost delivered. JUAN BERMUDEZ was well-held in 3rd at Newbury on comeback run in the soft. We could see more with improved fitness and a switch to Poly.
