CARIAD ANGEL showed massive improvement when 2nd at Newcastle on first attempt at the synthetic. She can go one better now heading into the nursery ranks off a 73 mark for Karl Burke. CLIPSHAM LA HABANA has found the frame in all 3 outings but has failed to live up to short prices the last twice. He’s quite capable but does have questions to answer.

SWEET BERTIE got home by a neck at Lingfield over this trip back in May. He clearly needed the run when 11th there on comeback run 11 days ago. Now fighting fit we could see him build on that effort out of pole position. INCLEMENT WEATHER went down by a length when 3rd over C&D at the end of October and is likely to be thereabouts off the same mark.

HOPEMAN HARBOUR opened the account convincingly over this trip at Chelmsford last month before a respectable 4th at Yarmouth. He can take another step forward on return to the AW. OPTICALITY has landed 2nd here earlier in the year and could benefit from a return to the mile now fitted with cheekpieces for the first time.

SLIPOFTHEPEN is expected to make a wining debut for the Gosdens and His Majesty. He holds a Derby entry and this looks the ideal starting point for this regally-bred Night Thunder colt could take a lot of beating. STAR AHOY is a fellow newcomer of note for Willie Haggas with Cieren Fallon in the plate. He sports strong pedigree and a hefty 140,000 Guinea asking price.

SCINTILLANTE showed plenty to like despite landing 7th on debut at Newbury over this trip. He is sure to come forward plenty for that outing and can put forth a strong account for the Andrew Balding team. POSTMAN’S PARK is the newcomer of note for the Gosdens and James Doyle and should know what he has to do here.

AUSSIE BANKER took a step in the right direction when 4th over C&D latest. Another go off the mark with the benefit of William Buick’s steady hand can see him make further improvement. AGUAPLANO got home by a neck over C&D on return from a short rest He can remain competitive for Marco Botti but the 2lb rise could be enough to tilt the scales against him.

SISKANY was well-beaten in 3rd in a Group 1 in Munich earlier in the month. He can recover now eased markedly in grade and is reunited with William Buick. WILD CRUSADE has found 2nd the last twice by narrow margins, including over C&D at this level a month ago. He should find his way into the mix once more.

SASHENKA is a useful hurdler who is interesting retuned to the flat on 2nd outing for Dominic Ffrench Davis. Her last couple of flat outings have seen her having to settle for 2nd and she could come forward for the race fitness. SHADOWFAX is a player for Mick Appleby if able to unlock further improvement for the longer trip and remains nicely unexposed.
