His prior effort saw him score well at Market Rasen and a drop back in trip could be all it takes to bounce back. FAMILY POT has been doing good work in defeat since scoring on chase bow at Ludlow in November and could make a bid off a workable 89 mark.

Race 2 – Hereford Racecourse
GODREVY POINT was a respectable 5th on hurdle bow at Aintree in October and backed it up with a couple of runner-up finishes including by a short head at Doncaster. This looks an ideal opening for him to shed the maiden tag. BOLINTLEA has rattled the crossbar in a couple of bumper outings and should sharpen up for a decent hurdle debut 5th at Sedgefield at the end of January.

PUMP IT UP found a competitive handicap at Lingfield too much when beating just one home at 100/1 last month. Her prior efforts were most encouraging and she looks likely to move past that now in much calmer waters. TIKI FIRE was progressing well before being sent off to Listed level at Doncaster and failing to land a blow. She’s dangerous also going down in grade.

Race 4 – Hereford Racecourse
SOUTHERN SAM was most pleasing in 3rd on comeback/yard bow for Richard Bandey after 764 days off. Now the cobwebs are gone he could press for a deserved chase win on 3rd attempt now up in trip. FAUSTINOVICK is nearing his ceiling off a mark of 120 but first-time cheekpieces might see him sneak in a deserved maiden victory.

ANYTHINGFORLOVE is forgiven for a terrible 134 length belting when 5th of 5 at Ascot at G2 level latest. Jamie Snowden’s mare was doing fine work prior to that in both hurdle and chase ranks. She can bounce back down in class now reunited with Archie Bellamy and his 7lb claim. EMMPRESSIVE LADY is rapidly turned out on hat trick bid after a convincing victory at Exeter 3 days ago and could land the spoils despite a 7lb penalty.

Race 6 – Hereford Racecourse
SMOKING PIGEON showed his best yet when ½ a length 2nd at Huntingdon on return from a wind operation. Risen 4lb for the effort he can go one better as he sharpens under the watchful eye of Fergal O’Brien. I SPY A DIVA found just one useful sort too good when the pair pulled well-clear of their rivals here latest. An up in trip on handicap bow can see her enter the fray.

SHOMEN UCHI was denied success on debut by just a neck when encountering a clever subsequent winner at Wincanton on Boxing Day. An extra furlong of run and the benefit of that outing can see him go one better for Sam Thomas. PARK THIS ONE is worth a look on rules debut as a winner between the flags for the in-form Jamie Snowden operation.
