REAL ADVISOR hasn’t been disgraced in 5th the last twice here including over C&D on penultimate run. She seems to have a bit of scope on this surface and could get up in a race that won’t take a lot of winning. STING RAY is 1 from 1 over this trip but that was on the turf. She hasn’t been as good on the AW but could turn it around since being fitted with blinkers and launching from barrier one.

Race 2 – Greyville Racecourse
WILDEYE has done some good work over the turf on the Highveld without winning. He made his debut on this surface and was a most promising ½ length 3rd. A return here could see him take the final step forward. ELUSIVE DREAM was building toward a win, coming within a neck when 2nd over 10f here. Rested since she’s had a comeback spin over the turf track and should be in a good spot to challenge again.

BLUE SAILS couldn’t secure a hat trick when sent off over the mile here against the boys. Her prior efforts are strong and she can bounce right back as the sort who can put in a huge finish. ROSE PRINCESS only beat one home on local bow over the turf track. She’s given hints of talent and could take to this new surface out of gate 2.

WONDERING STAR isn’t the most consistent colt but he’s learning on the job and could really take to the new surface from a solid draw. PASHTUNWALI looks the danger, he has been doing strong work over turf and is interesting over this trip. If he takes to the Polytrack he can throw down the gauntlet.

FLYING GRACE comes across from the Highveld in search of plunder for Clinton Binda. Last seen narrowly beaten into 3rd over 9f at Turffontein, he is drawn well and could get his way with a bit of luck. TECHNO SAVVY ran very well when 2nd over C&D at the end of last month and looks quite capable of backing it up now launching from pole positon.

Race 6 – Greyville Racecourse
SEVENTH SONG has found the frame in 3 of 5 attempts over C&D, and was last seen 4th over C&D at 33/1 odds. He looks overdue a win on this surface and has the best draw to launch his bid. FRENCH MASTERPIECE didn’t like the drop to this trip latest but Shane Humby has decided to give him another go. Now tackling the AW if he can get his act together he could prove a tough nut to crack.

Race 7 – Greyville Racecourse
STRAIGHT UP has a decent local record and is getting better for Duncan Howells. Last seen home ½ a length over the mile here, he might not be troubled by the drop in trip. All his best work comes on the Polytrack and he has pole positon to launch out of. CAPE EAGLE is yet to run a bad race and has been narrowly beaten while landing in the money here in both outings. He’s afforded an extra furlong and could get into the mix.

CAPRICCIO has landed both her wins to date over this surface, one over 6f and the other over 9f. She’s right in the middle here and despite not being the most consistent mare, could come good from the best of the draws. ZULU WAR CRY comes across from the Highveld in good heart after a promising 4th at Turffontein against the boys. She’s fancied to sharpen up now tackling the Polytrack.
