SHIPHOLIA gets the nod on debut in a fairly moderate event. She is well-bred and should be ready for the job. TRIP TO NEBRASKA hasn’t been much of anything in 3 outings to date but now finally afforded a good draw could make some ground.

Race 2 – Greyville Racecourse
STEALTH ATTACK sharpened up plenty from a debut 11th when 4th over C&D for a new yard. This surface seems to be ideal and she can find plenty more out of pole position. BEVIES DELIGHT was sent into the big leagues following a fair debut 5th. She didn’t land much of a blow but didn’t suffer any disgrace. She can make her presence felt in calmer waters.

Race 3 – Greyville Racecourse
LADY OF GOLD showed significant progression when a length 4th over the mile on the turf here. If she can bring the form to the Poly she’s a big player. ZINIKELE has benefitted from the fitting of blinkers, landing 2nd by a neck over the turf here before having to settle for 5th when hitting the front too early. She could also find the new surface to her liking.

Race 4 – Greyville Racecourse
MAITH AN CAILIN has posted some decent efforts to date on the Highveld and is interesting on local debut. She has the best of the draws and could have her prominent tactics rewarded here. SING FOR WINTER showed some improvement on her debut when 8th here over 6f. A bit more run could see her tighten up further.

Race 5 – Greyville Racecourse
BLAZING ASTUTE went down by a neck over the extended 9f here prior to a lacklustre 8th over turf. An ideal draw and a 9lb claimer could see her in a spot to gain compensation. DUQUESNE WHISTLE has found 3rd here the last twice and should be thereabouts.

Race 6 – Greyville Racecourse
PRAY FOR RAIN is a previous C&D winner at Listed level but was not able to do better than 11th at the same level here latest. That said, a few months off and a drop into calmer waters could see him back on course. WINTER FLIGHT is in excellent form and fitness, having found the frame 4 times running before a narrow but pleasing score over slightly further on this track.

Race 7 – Greyville Racecourse
FINAL DESTINY hasn’t had much success of late but now returned to his ideal C&D could really turn things around. He has the best of the draws and could have a big run in him here. CAPETOWN AFFAIR returned to winning ways by a head over C&D back in September. He is well-drawn for a coherent double bid.

Race 8 – Greyville Racecourse
HIPPOCRATES notched a narrow but pleasing success over 6f on this surface in July. A lacklustre 6th on the turf here since, he can make amends on return to the AW but might be in need of the outing. OUR EMILY hasn’t been far from the action here of late and there could be more to come with blinkers retained.
