Race 2 – Greyville Racecourse
IRON BARK is a C&D winner who was last seen landing 3rd to a useful reopposing rival. A swing at the weights and the best of the draws could see him make up plenty of ground. ADDIENA is a clear danger having won her last couple over C&D. This sees her with more work to do but she’s certainly up to it.

AFROPOLITAN did not take to the extended 11f on the turf track here back in October. If we put a line through that effort we should see much more on return to 8f and the Poly. UNCLE LUCKY showed his best to date when outrunning 28/1 odds to land 2nd over C&D. He should be involved in the finish after that display.

STRAIGHT UP hinted at a resurgence when 3rd over 10f here 12 days ago. A drop in trip could see him bring plenty to bear. CAESURA got home by a neck over C&D latest and should make a strong bid for a double.

Race 5 – Greyville Racecourse
JUST VIRGINIA gets the nod off the back of an 8f success here on penultimate outing, followed by a fair 2nd when upped to 10f. 9f could the right middle ground and she has accounted for a few of these recently. Throw in barrier one and she’s got quite a strong hand today. RECKLESS LOVE has been battling to find a win of late but showed the right attitude when ¾ of a length 3rd over C&D 12 days ago.

OH SO SQUISHY was last seen outclassed in a Listed race over the extended 9f on the turf track here. A drop into calmer waters and a return to the AW where she notched a double in August bodes well. DAWNOFANEWDAY has won 2 of her last 3 and heads up in grade. She can land plenty of blows over her ideal C&D but is drawn wide.

PREEMPTIVE STRIKE reopened the account by a neck over 6f here late last month. That could prove a major shot in the arm and he shouldn’t mind the return to 7f now he has momentum. PRINCE VIHAAN went down by a head over the extended mile here last month. The form has been franked and he makes plenty of appeal out of barrier one.
