BEN LILLY hasn’t shown a whole lot over hurdles but is a smart flat runner who could find the right mix now upped in trip and sporting cheekpieces. ROYAL SAM is worth a look on debut over timber as a winner between the flags who should be wiser for a 6th place finish in a Sedgefield bumper.

DHOWIN had excuses when pulled up in the soft at Wetherby in February. He made amends when 2nd in better ground at Ffos Las last month and looks to be coming to the boil nicely over fences. PREMIER D’TROICE is ever-reliable in these ranks and has been in the money of late. He does well over C&D and could post a fair bid off 115.

RUBY’S REWARD won with style and 5+ in hand over 26f last month and has been handed an 8lb hike. He’s dropped in trip for Anthony Honeyball but could double up as the variance isn’t too troubling. THE HEIGHT OF FAME has improved for the fitting of cheekpieces, last seen 4th to a winner who has franked the form. She’s likely to find more now upped in trip again.

BALLYCAMUS benefited from a shift in tactics by Sam Twiston-Davies when home at Hereford in March. A short break and a bit more yardage can see the pair get it right again off 6lb higher. JUNIPER is respected off the back of a fair Warwick victory but was last seen refusing to get into the barrier at Worcester latest leaves a strike against her name that needs to be made up for.

RECTORY OAK was in excellent heart when edging out success by a short head on chase bow at Wincanton at the end of March. Joe Tizzard has since taken over from his father, Colin and there looks a chance for a double in ideal going. BALKARDY won with grace at Plumpton after a promising 3rd on first attempt at chasing. A 5lb hike is fair and he could prove a worthy competitor to the selection.

SHELIKESTHELIGHTS gets an enthusiastic nod on debut for Joe Tizzard as a well-bred sort who sports a chunky €65,000 price tag. He has Sam Twiston-Davies in the irons and can go well here. SYMPHORINE is another debutant of note, having some useful French horses in her pedigree.
