NIKOLAYEVA is a useful flat performer who has been recruited by Jamie Snowden and could make a splash in the NH ranks.

Race 2 – Ffos Las Racecourse
TEMPLIER battled through the slop to score with 15 in hand at Warwick on the final day of 2021. Provided the turnabout isn’t too rapid he can double down under a fair 7lb penalty. KINGSTON KING held on to score at Bangor-on-Dee early last month and should go well off a 5lb higher perch.

Race 3 – Ffos Las Racecourse
WICKED WEST is 1 from 1 over C&D after tearing it up by 14 lengths back in May on his first outing for Richard Newland. Last seen a good 3rd in the mud at Lingfield he should be right amongst it on return here. HOWDYALIKEMENOW wasn’t disgraced when 13th on hat trick bid at Cheltenham. Off the same 122 mark he has every chance to gain compensation.

Race 4 – Ffos Las Racecourse
GUSTAVIAN has excellent hurdle form to draw from and was a solid 3rd on chase bow. Last seen unseating his rider at Exeter we can look past that and see him develop further. EMIR SACREE did some sloppy jumping latest at Doncaster and did rather well to land 2nd despite being well-held. We could see Nicky Henderson’s charge bounce right back if sharpening his jumping.

Race 5 – Ffos Las Racecourse
GETAWEAPON has done little wrong in 6 outings and was an excellent 2nd on comeback from a short rest and a wind operation. She can go one better off an unchanged 114 mark. SO SOCKSY is a useful stayer who should enter the mix once more after a local 2nd over further in similar conditions.

FAIRLAWN FLYER shifted focus to chasing and was immediately rewarded with a C&D score. Off a 7lb higher mark he can double down in what seems an ideal sphere. ELEANOR BOB couldn’t land a blow in a 4 horse field at Listed level at Aintree last month but prior to that was a very workable 3rd over C&D.

HUNTER LEGEND had a lot to like about his debut 3rd and now running with experience for the red-hot Venetia Williams string we can see him build on that promise. BAMFORD EDGE was too green to land a blow when sent off favourite on debut over C&D but with experience is worth chancing again.
