DREAM SCAPE was a pleasing debutant in 2nd over 6f here last month. Cliffie Miller’s filly ran into a promising sort there and can go one better now running with experience. SPRING FEVER showed her best yet when ¾ of a length 2nd on local/yard bow for Jacques Strydom over C&D.

Race 2 – Fairview Racecourse
ST PATRICK’S DAY has shown ample promise and is somewhat unfortunate to be a 19 start maiden. She’s interesting now upped in trip and this could eke out the required final step. MANSOORIYA didn’t make much of an impression in 7th on local bow but that was the Poly. Her turf run since was a strong 3rd and she can get involved in the finish.

TEARDROP looks very dangerous coming for a raid from the Western Cape. She has found the frame the last twice at Kenilworth and should relish the extra yardage. SUGARBERRY is forgiven a somewhat lacking 5th here over 7f and is best judged off her prior couple of 3rd placings here.

GLOBAL MARK is in a fair pocket of form without actually sinning anything. Any reproduction of his last 3 runs here could be adequate to score. ABSOLU NOIR has shown ample potential but has lacked the panache in his finishes to be a winner. Now paired with Pierre Strydom we may well see him come to life.

PRINCESS OF FIRE was beaten into 2nd on double bid here 4 days ago. Now upped markedly in trip we may well see her find due compensation. BASETSANA didn’t like the soft when unable to back up a triumphant 10f win. A return to good ground can see her bounce back into contention.

SANTA THERESE ran well to find 3rd over C&D from a loud draw last month. Another go out of pole position can see her right back on top. RAIN IN NEWMARKET has found 3rd the last twice and has accounted for many of these, but has in turn been well-beaten by the selection in the past.

NEXUS found fair market support at Greyville latest and obliged with a slim but nonetheless pleasing success. Another go from barrier 1 can see a double well-within reach. MY BESTIE has not run a bad race in a long time and is capable of getting back on top now returning to the mile.

RAINING AGAIN fired up late to score by a head over C&D on local bow and has since joined Juan Nel. A reproduction of the effort can see a nice double achieved following a short rest. TICKET TO RIDE isn’t in his best form but is nonetheless capable over this trip for Zietsman Oosthuizen.
