AKENTRICK showed his best yet when beaten a length into 2nd at Musselburgh last month. Lining up over the same trip off an unchanged mark he can go one better. LILY GLITTERS is respected having edged out a victory at Hereford back in November but doesn’t seem to pull up well fresh so may need a run.

CITY CHIEF won between the flags in Ireland before changing hands for £210,000 and joining Nicky Henderson. He made good on that promise when 2nd on rules debut at Ascot last month. With that under his belt, this 5 year old can justify his asking price. WONDERWALL showed plenty to like in the bumpers including a debut win at Ascot. He made a promising shift to hurdles when 2nd at Newbury and could have plenty more to come.

GALLYHILL was unfortunate when falling on chase bow at Exeter after attracting strong market support. Having had wind surgery since, we could see some semblance of a recovery from Nicky Henderson’s charge. THE GOLDEN REBEL could have plenty to come after tearing it up by 8 lengths over C&D a month ago. This is a much tougher task but he could be up to it.

RAYMOND TUSK continued his progression when 2nd to a clever sort at Newbury latest. A useful flat performer, he has plenty more to offer in this sphere. He won’t have to dig deep to open the NH account. RUSSIAN RULER won a Warwick bumper on debut in May and after 230 days could bring the standard to timber if not in need of a pipe-opener.

THE MACON LUGNATIC is a 2 time local winner who wasn’t disgraced in 4th at Newbury in a higher grade. He has shown promise in the chase ranks and now down in class and 2lb lighter, he can put another foot forward for Ben Pauling. BRETNEY is respected off the back of a gutsy 6+ length score at Uttoxeter latest but this is a much tougher task as he goes up in grade and has to weather an 8lb rise.

PEEJAYBEE has done no wrong in 3 outings under rules, winning his first 2 with authority before settling for 3rd behind an immensely talented rival. With that under his belt and a field lacking that calibre he can bounce right back. COME ON GRUFF caught the eye when storming home at Uttoxeter latest. Leaving the maiden ranks and going handicapping, he can find plenty more progression.
