Race 2 – Doncaster Racecourse
HASTY PARISIAN showed plenty of potential in a couple of bumper outings before making a pleasing impression in 2nd on hurdle bow at Warwick. A slight up in trip with that run under his belt can see him strike. REWIRED comes down in class after a respectable enough 4th in the Chatteris fen at Huntingdon last month. He should find this a much simpler task for Richard Newland.

AJAY’S WAYS made a positive impression when scoring on chase bow after failing to impress over timber. Fergal O’Brien’s charge is fancied to continue progressing in his ideal sphere with the 4lb hike padded by Liam Harrison’s 3lb claim. CLONDAW PRETENDER has filled the runner-up berth the last twice and looks to be coming to the boil nicely. He should feature once more.

Race 4 – Doncaster Racecourse
ROAD WARRIOR reopened the account at Sedgefield on Boxing Day and has struck the crossbar in both subsequent appearances there. He is capable of getting back on top off this mark. THE UNIT has been pleasing in 3rd the last twice and looks like a contender.

ICONE D’AUBRELLE won his sole start over timber in France and demands respect making UK/yard bow for Neil Mulholland. ALCHEMYSTIQUE is the danger of the locals, having scored on her own hurdle bow on return from wind surgery after a fairly ordinary flat campaign. She looks like a good recruit for Steph Hollinshead.

Race 6 – Doncaster Racecourse
LORD ROCO showed strong staying ability when home with 4+ in hand at Newcastle latest. He has improved with each run and should find further progression now handicapping off a 119 mark. SCARPIA was a powerful victor with 11 in hand in a conditional at Plumpton at the end of January and is likely to be in the mix as he escapes penalty for Nicky Henderson.

PROGRESSIVE is interesting returning to the hurdle ranks after a strong handful of flat runs on the AW. Nicky Henderson’s mare is reunited with Nico de Boinville and looks capable of a winning return off just 3lb higher than her October score at Chepstow. RUNASIMI RIVER didn’t show much when 6th at Exeter latest but has been lowered 1lb and was doing strong work prior to that mishap so is deserving of another chance.
