Race 2 – Chepstow Racecourse
ARCADIAN NIGHTS had plenty going against him in the run when 2nd at Wolverhampton latest. That was a serious improvement and if he gets a clear run here he can land his first win since joining Mark Loughnane. SIR PLATO isn’t going to lie down as he has a good record here and will be fitter for a comeback 8th at Bath a fortnight back.

ADAAY ATATIME showed promise in all 4 outings to date despite not placing yet. His bath 7th was somewhat encouraging and he’s expected to come forward as he matures. This is a lowering of sights so he gets a nod for Clive Cox. CONNIE’S ROSE took a huge leap forward when 3rd at 100/1 odds at Kempton on first outing for Grace Harris. She’s likely to have more to come now trying turf.

SOME NIGHTMARE looks the one to beat after striking the crossbar in both outings this year. A 70 mark can see him go one better. RUBY COTTAGE is respected on return to 6f but after 197 days off may well need the run before being able to build on last season.

Race 5 – Chepstow Racecourse
RHUBARB has been a bit hit and miss this season but now paired with Tyler Heard and his 5lb claim off a mark of 46 looks quite capable of landing a deserved maiden win in a moderate field. SYMBOL OF HOPE unlocked plenty when home with 2+ in hand at Bath when fitted with cheekpieces. He’s under a 5lb penalty so may prove vulnerable.

RUSSIAN RUMOUR is a trip winner who should be in good fitness after a decent 5ht over timber at Wincanton last month. She’s 3lb below her last win in this sphere and Richard Kingscote is an eye-catching booking. EAGLE’S FIRST was a solid 4th over this trip at Kempton back in October and could make a dent on comeback provided she doesn’t need the outing.

LOST GOLD won with a length in hand on debut at Wolverhampton and shouldn’t be troubled by the extra yardage. Hollie Doyle takes the ride and they look the ones to beat. NATHANAEL GREENE is a danger for the red-hot Willie Haggas after a much-improved 3rd over this trip in November.
