GILBERT is a danger having opened the account over this trip at Brighton earlier this month. A 2lb hike can see him remain very competitive for Adam West.

Race 2 – Chepstow Racecourse
SHAWNEE WARRIOR made a very strong impression on debut when 3rd at Wetherby over 7f earlier this month after some good late work. With that run to work from and the services of Hector Crouch we could see him go one better for David O’Meara. FOURSOME couldn’t quite land a blow on debut when 6th at Nottingham but will have gained valuable experience and can improve enough to be a player.

AGAPANTHER looks set for a fair effort to regain the winning thread after settling for a well-beaten 2nd on double bid behind a useful rival. She’s up 4lb from her trip win at Kempton but Harry Davies takes 5lb off so the terms look ideal. KING OF WAR is a contender having landed in the money in all 4 runs since joining the Dunn team. He’s arguably better over the mile and up but has done enough over this trip to be a danger.

JACKMEISTER RUDI had been coming to the boil nicely and delivered in style at Brighton over this trip latest. A 3lb rise is very fair and he’s capable of continuing his ascendancy from a good draw. HOPE PROBE is a danger off the back of a local win and shouldn’t be troubled by the up to 6f.

ASTROPHYSICS found the frame 4 times running before getting back into winning form by a head over C&D 16 days ago. A 2lb hike is workable as David Probert takes over the ride. SHESADABBER was 4th to the selection before winning her own C&D event 6 days later. She’s capable of reversing the form but has a 5lb higher perch to do it from.

LAND OF EAGLES has shown ample promise and seemed to have benefitted immensely from an up to 9f at Yarmouth when a length 2nd. Now upped another furlong he could get it right off just 1lb higher. CITY STREAK has weakened late over 12f and looks capable of turning things around now eased a couple of furlongs.

SHUT UP AND DANCE took a fair step forward when 4th on nursery debut back in October. Rested since, she’s expected to relish this longer trip on breeding and could get her way if not in need of an outings. LETHAL TOUCH did his best yet when home by 2+ at Nottingham in a fairly weak field. The run could have done him wonders and he’s worth watching as he has to lift his game to back that up.
