SECRET EQUITY got home by a short head at Thirsk late last month and is reunited with Elle Paterson and her full 5lb claim today. A 2lb higher mark is cancelled by the allowance and the pair could notch a nice double here. POLAM LANE was 2nd to the selection that day and was also narrowly denied prior at Wolverhampton. His compensation claims are valid and his rider taking 5lb off could be crucial to pressing them.

LET’S GO HUGO won over C&D back in July and has landed 3rd in both outings since. A return here could help him build on those efforts with Harry Russel taking a handy 3lb off. DARK CRUSADE has also found 3rd the last twice after learning plenty on debut. He’s capable of getting his way here.

WAITING ALL NIGHT comes down markedly in grade on the hunt for a confidence booster. This debut winner has held his own well enough at higher levels, including a Listed 2nd at Ascot. He should prove too good for his 3 rivals. MAHALK found 3rd over C&D in August which is his best run to date. He could spark further improvement on return here after some ordinary efforts.

SUNNINGDALE has rattled the crossbar the last twice and should be able to find compensation despite a 2lb hike. His rider’s 7lb claim makes him very appealing in this small field. LITTLE EDI is the danger having opened the account by a short head over this trip at Chepstow at the end of August. A 2lb rise is manageable but he loses the services of Hollie Doyle.

OH SO CHIC looks primed to benefit from an extra couple of furlongs following a 14f 2nd at Redcar earlier in the month. These stamina testing trips are working well for Ed Bethell’s mare and could foster plenty more improvement. LADY SHANAWELL got back into shape when 2nd at Ripon over this trip and could come out singing off the same mark.

DESERT DREAM gets a tentative nod off the back of a 7f local win 11 days ago. The drop in trip is somewhat strange but he’s certainly capable of making his mark here off just 3lb higher. JET SET GO came within ¾ of a length off this mark at Ayr back in July and could make a play at a C&D he found 3rd over 12 months ago.

REAL TERMS notched a nice double earlier in the year and looks primed to retrace the wining thread as she drops in grade for Grant Tuer. Oliver Stammers retains the ride and the pair look primed for the task at hand. AUNTIE MARGARET is a hit and miss sort but if she’s able to reproduce the standard of her Leicester win 22 days ago she’s capable of plenty of damage.
