LEADING COMPANY sharpened measurably with each start, culminating in success by a neck over C&D latest. A 4lb higher mark is workable and he can press for a successful double. MY HONEY B accounted for the selection in her last start when 3rd over C&D but may struggle to top the new and improved standard the selectin sets.

He has been in decent form of late and can put forth a coherent defense of his title.

AT THE DOUBLE won with absolute authority and 5 lengths in hand over 14f at Salisbury on penultimate start. Sir Mark Prescott’s charge was far from disgraced when well-held in 2nd on double bid when upped to this trip at Nottingham. The form has been franked handsomely and this looks prime to get back to winning ways. TOMMASO can chase the selection home in this 3 horse field, landing in the money lately and eased 1lb since a fair 3rd at York.

GEMCUTTER relished the return to 5f when ¾ of a length 2nd at Musselburgh at the end of July. A 2lb higher mark is erased by Harry Russell’s 3lb claim and a follow up effort seems likely. MAJIL showed her best yet when 3rd at Southwell and could bring the progress back to turf.
