GLOBAL EFFORT caught the eye when 4th on debut over this trip at Leicester at the start of the month. With that under his belt and Silvestre De Sousa retaining the ride we can see a bold bid. WHISTLE AND FLUTE gets a mention on debut for Eve Johnson Houghton and is worth a market check.

ILLUSTRATING took a nice leap forward when 2nd at G3 level at Newmarket over this trip back in October. A similar showing if not needing the outing could see her get a nice Listed win to her name. FEARLESS ANGEL looks the main threat following a couple of 2nd finishes, including at this level in France latest. The 9lb hike will be felt but she’s paired with cheekpieces and the ever-capable Silvestre De Sousa.

Race 4 – Bath Racecourse
COVERT MISSION has turned highly progressive of late, winning 2 of his last 3 over the AW and not being disgraced by the 2nd place finish in-between. Back from a short rest and returning to turf could land a deserved win on this surface. LATENT HEAT is fighting fit following some decent enough postings over the AW including a Lingfield win. Somewhat proven on turf he can have his way if bringing his best.

AGUAPLANO showed massive improvement when 2nd over the extended 9f at Wolverhampton late last month. A similar effort over the mile now trying turf off 1lb can see him open the account on attempt 5. DOOLILY is worth a look on comeback run after placing 4 times in 5 appearances.

KALAMITY KITTY came back from 215 days off to score by a head at Kempton over 2f shorter. She won over this trip at Ffos Las prior to that, so has a nice hat trick in reach off 4lb higher. LADY ELYSIA capped off 2021 with a win by a nose at Chelmsford and could pick up where she left off after 168 days off.

RUNING CLOUD got back into the swing of things with a fairly convincing Wolverhampton score over further. A drop in trip and a return to a course he’s proven at could see a nice enough double with the 3lb hike cancelled by Christian Howarth’s full 7lb claim. UTHER PENDRAGON has been doing fair work without winning on the AW and could make well on return to turf where all his wins have come including 2 at this course.
