HIGHLAND MAC gets the vote on debut for George Boughey, sporting strong pedigree and is likely to be very well-readied for the task. ROYAL AGENT is another newcomer of note for Tony Carroll, whose team took this out 12 months ago.

POLLY POTT made a fair effort in 7th in a large field on debut at Newbury and the experience clearly did her hood. She returned to Lingfield to find a much-improved 4th and looks to have much more to come, especially in a 3 horse field. SAUCISSON is the better of the 2 newcomers and can chase her home.

JACK THE TRUTH got back into winning shape with conviction over slightly shorter here 6 days ago. He’s under a 4lb penalty but can strike while the iron is hot with Callum Shepherd retaining the ride. RUBY COTTAGE is dangerous as a local winner who was denied over C&D by a short head off 1lb lower in late June.

OVERSTATE was a remarkable 8 length winner over this trip at Ripon latest and looks very hard to oppose if arriving in a similar mood. The 6lb penalty isn’t of much concern and he’s likely to prove very popular. CAFE SYDNEY is capable of an improved showing now afforded an up in trip but is unlikely to be able to land a blow here and may have to settle for silver.

HURRICANE HELEN notched success over track and trip by a head here in May and lost little in defeat when 3rd at Salisbury since. She’s off an unchanged mark of 60 and can get right back into the swing here. POINT LOUISE is respected coming down in grade after not being too far beaten into 8th at Goodwood.
