US AND THEM is a clear danger headed down in grade after struggling to land a blow at various higher levels. Top weight always gets respect but he does have a lot to prove.

Race 2 – Leicester Racecourse
FLANN was brought down at Ludlow latest but was an impressive 7 length winner over 20f here prior. That form has been franked since and the extra run might aid his cause and Liam Harrison’s claim should prove handy once more. ON THE BANDWAGON showed marked improvement in 2nd over C&D latest. Another attempt off the same mark could see him in the mix for Jonjo O’Neill.

AMERICAN SNIPER concedes weight all round but looks set to remain competitive following a neck 2nd at Taunton. He shouldn’t be troubled by the extra furlong and can put his experience to work. GUNNERY OFFICER hinted at a return to form when 4th at Ffos Las latest and can find his way into the equation.

Race 4 – Leicester Racecourse
MOONLIGHTER reopened the account by ¾ of a length last month following a wind operation. Another 4lb might not anchor him if in the same mood, especially as he has won off much higher marks as recently as 2021. JACAMAR hasn’t been at his best of late but is respected having won over C&D off 1lb higher last year. He might be able to make the most of the sliding mark and turn it around in ideal conditions.

FAY CE QUE VOUDRAS notched a couple of 2nd placings before scoring with a comfortable 2+ in hand at Hereford latest. She did very well considering her rider lost an iron at the last. Such a mistake might be costly off 8lb higher but there’s plenty of room for improvement. MRS GRIMLEY is on the radar having scored gamely at Ffos Las on 3rd hurdle attempt. She should be able to back it up now going handicapping.

Race 6 – Leicester Racecourse
GEROLAMO CARDANO had a bit of a rough patch last year but made the most of the ease in ratings to score with a huge 26 in hand over C&D in late December. He’s up another 6lb for that but still sits below 100 and remains capable of digging deeper. ACCIDENTAL LEGEND is the obvious danger having a hat trick firm in the crosshairs. A 100 mark will see him with plenty to do but he looks up to task for Fergal O’Brien.
