SAMBA LADY showed the right signs when 2 lengths 4th on debut over 5f at Windsor. The 3rd that day has franked the form and she could make a winning return from 245 days off. SHIKHOVA should be much wiser for a debut outing in May. She has strong appeal on pedigree and should be in the mix for the in-form Roger Varian string.

HUBERTS DREAM has won both outings since shifting to this surface and the handicaps. He has an exciting hat trick on the line and off 3lb higher could take all the beating. POP DANCER is in top shape following a superb hat trick capped off with a C&D success by a neck. He is up another 2lb but could make for the quartet. PARISAIC is of interest on yard bow for Alice Haynes. He showed himself a decent enough sort over turf and must be taken seriously.

GIORGIO VASARI was an excellent winner on return from 230 days off, landing the spoils at 10/1 odds at Wolverhampton 3 days ago. With improved fitness he can strike again while the iron is hot and get Ivan Furtado another much-needed winner. CHAGALL notched a narrow win at Chelmsford on first outing for Jack Jones before being denied his double by ¾ of a length. He misfired in 8th at Wolverhampton since but can bounce back to contention here.

RECUERDAME has been plagued by plenty of bad luck of late but remains a promising sort who deserves to win more than he has. If he can get a clean break from pole position he can leave his recent narrow defeats in the past. RIVER CHORUS is the danger after getting home with a nice 3 in hand at Wolverhampton 3 days ago. She’s capable of backing it up now tackling the mile for just the 2nd time.

NO SUCH LUCK wasn’t much of anything on return from wind surgery in September but has had some time to come good. He notched some good 3rd placings over C&D earlier in the year and could get back to that standard off a nice 51 mark. GOLD STANDARD is the pick on recent form having found 3rd over C&D last month. He can make a play off 1lb higher.

COME TO PASS is looking for a double after finally shedding the maiden tag over C&D at the end of November. He has ample scope and can remain competitive off 2lb higher. LAURENTIA was ¾ of a length back in 4th that day and can make her way into the equation off 1lb higher.
