JACK HYDE kicked things off with a most promising 6th at Listed level at Cheltenham in November. He can put that experience to excellent use here and has a nice 7lb taken off by his rider’s claim. ZIONISTY stormed home with 8+ in hand earlier in the month over C&D and should remain competitive despite having a lot more to do here thanks to a 7lb penalty.

Race 2 – Lingfield Racecourse
BONTTAY won her first 3 bumper outings in good style before having to settle for 2nd to a very useful rival at Cheltenham last month. Now sent over timber, she should prove a tough nut to crack for Fergal O’Brien. MAGICAL MAGGIE is a 2 time bumper winner who won her own hurdle bow with an impressive 6+ in hand and could offer plenty of resistance.

URABAMBA gets the nod on chase bow in a weak field on paper. He hasn’t been much over timber but a 93 mark and improved fitness could see him make any manner of improvement in these ranks. INSTANT DE BONHEUR is of interest coming down significantly in trip and could put the experience to good work.

Race 4 – Lingfield Racecourse
FLAT WHITE has been doing strong work on the flat of late and is looking likely to bring her momentum back to the hurdle ranks. She found the frame in her first couple of attempts back in 2020 and could build on those efforts beautifully. LIGHT EM UP NIGEL has rattled the crossbar the last 4 times running and can confirm that standard here or possibly go one better now sent handicapping off a 111 mark.

ACHILLE was nothing much when beating just 2 home at Haydock on comeback run last month. He has some solid early form to tap into and could make a better impression with fitness on his side and a 3lb lower mark as he heads down in trip. STAMP YOUR FEET has been winning between the flags and was a fair 2nd at Listowel under rules in June. He has since changed yards and could hit the ground running.

Race 6 – Lingfield Racecourse
MARK OF GOLD found a valuable Class 1 a bit much when 7th at Cheltenham last month. A marked ease in grade can see him return to his earlier standard which landed him 4 wins in 6 starts. BREAKING WAVES is on the radar after finding 2nd on double bit at Ffos Las when upped in grade slightly. Another 2lb rise will be felt but he can still make his mark here.

ECHO WATT unseated his rider over C&D latest but has otherwise been a fairly consistent performer. We can put a line through that mishap and he could make the most of Lily Pinchin’s 3lb claim to bounce right back. WILLIAM PHILO can make plenty of improvement following a fair 5th on chase bow at Exeter last month. He has 2lb less to carry and ample scope.
