HARRY’S HERO got the job done at Musselburgh before backing it up decently enough when a short finished first but being demoted by stewards into 2nd at Kempton. A bit more trip might do him well here and he can notch another official success. A LITTLE RESPECT is well-worth a closer look on debut for Mark Johnston.

Race 2 – Wolverhampton Racecourse
VICTORIA FALLS showed enough to work with in 5th on debut at Chelmsford before going much better in 2nd at Newcastle late last month. Her plotted course can see her a big player here. SAORLA showed the right stuff with a nice 2nd back in March but hasn’t been able to back it up. It is far too soon to write her off.

STREET KID has gone down by narrow margins the last twice over this trip at Lingfield. He is up 3lb but is most capable of getting due compensation. He returns to a C&D he is 2 from 3 over and looks a good option here. CRY HAVOC had the selection in tow at Lingfield in August before backing it up by a nose at Chelmsford. She has a nice shot at the hat trick but the added 4lb sees her with a lot to do, even with William Buick aboard.

SUPER JULIUS has done some of his best work over C&D and looks good off a 50 mark today. He comes back from a couple months rest and could get his way here. THE GLOAMING is capable of some damage from barrier one but his AW form is lacking compared to turf. He remains somewhat unexposed and could bring something to the table now paired with a 7lb claimer.

ELLIE PIPER is in top shape, winning over C&D at the end of September and landing 2nd at Windsor on turf since. She can make the most of a return to these surrounds, despite a wide draw. CAPTAIN CORCORAN is of interest now under the care of Stella Barclay. A 57 mark and a 3lb claimer see him well-treated if you look at the pick of his form.

EXQUISITELY has improved significantly with each run and her latest 2nd by a nose at Newcastle suggests her time is imminent. An opening mark of 71 is workable for Karl Burkes’s well-bred filly. DEMOCRACY DILEMMA has struggled in the Listed ranks since winning his maiden with some authority. He could land a blow after a 152 day absence now he has been gelded and tackles the AW.

NIGHT LIFE has shown she has what it takes and was last seen 2nd by a head in a competitive maiden at Goodwood that has produced no less than 5 winners. A couple months off should have done her well and she gets the vote now going into the nursey ranks. TABARETTA got home by a head over C&D on nursery bow and a 4lb rise isn’t a big concern. The booking of William Buick is a pleasing one.

SIOFRA has been doing good work without winning since joining George Scott. She seems to have sharpened her game on the AW and could go well now afforded a rise in trip. HIDDEN PEARL is a reliable sort but the 49 mark seems to have anchored here. She can still make the frame on these terms.
