Race 2 – Chelmsford Racecourse
MAGGIE’S WAY made a decent start to life when 6th at Newbury in September. She built on it nicely when ½ a length 2nd at Kempton since. She can go one better for the experience on what seems her ideal surface. PERDIKA has a hat trick on the line after winning both post-debut outings. She has a double penalty to weather but could pull it off for George Boughey.

ONE FOR THE FROG was denied in the final furlong at Southwell when 2nd in late October. A drop back to 7f might be enough for due compensation to be awarded. COLOMBIDEA has shown some promise to date and was even tried at Listed level. She could make something of herself here.

MOUNTAIN ROAD scored by a neck over 16f here latest and could back it up off 3lb higher now eased in trip. DUBAI LEADER got back on the scoreboard at Kempton 8 days ago. He shouldn’t be troubled by the extra run under a workable 6lb penalty.

NINE TALES notched a double early in his career and could be ready to roll for Roger Varian in his first start since September 2021. LARADO got home over 7f at Epsom back in August and could land a blow off 2lb higher.
