Another good showing off 2lb higher is likely, with his rider’s 7lb claim cancelling it entirely and then some. SKILLED WARRIOR went down by ¾ of a length on return from a couple months rest and can fight his way into the finish once more off the same mark.

BERNIE THE BEAR showed marked improvement when ¾ of a length 2nd on first spin over the AW at Wolverhampton. Another go off 3lb higher here can see him take the next step. BELLA KOPELLA was last seen home cosily over C&D at 10/1 odds. She’s up 4lb but should remain competitive on what is clearly her ideal surface.

DESERT LAND has really lifted since joining Keith Dalgleish, winning 3 of 5 starts. He works well with Billy Garritty and is 2 from 3 here, expect a big effort. LITTLE JO was last seen 2nd at Pontefract and could benefit from a return to the AW.

MR COCO BEAN had traffic issues when 3rd over C&D at the end of September. Another go off the same mark could see him turn things around with the winner that day. PERFECT SOLDIER is the aforementioned winner and while respected, has a bit more to do at the weights and might prove vulnerable to a counterstrike.

QUANTICO was a superb 3 length winner on debut over this trip at Chelmsford back in August. With that to work from, Archie Watson’s gelding could keep his unbeaten streak alive. BORGI is a fellow debut winner who was last seen 2nd at Lingfield back in February. He might need the run but could still put up a good showing.

HART FELL unlocked plenty from wind surgery, edging home by a neck over C&D last month. A 1lb higher mark can see him strike again for Kevin Frost. JAMINOZ enters the radar off the back of an impressive 3+ length win at Ayr last week. A return to the AW may not prove ideal but he makes the shortlist.

FISCAL POLICY remains somewhat unexposed and enters off the back of a fair trip win at Kempton. He looks good enough to take this out under a 6lb penalty. TASHGHEEL has posted some fair efforts in defeat and cold build on his latest 4th here now 1lb lower and paired with Oliver Stammers and his 3lb claim.

WEE FAT MAC got home by a short head over C&D at 40/1 odds a week ago. Don’t expect that price but we could still see more off the same mark now the penny has dropped. BURTONWOOD is capable of upsetting the apple cart, having done some of his best work on Tapeta and was last seen 2nd over C&D.
