GIMME’S LASSIE got away slowly on debut but fired up nicely to land 2nd over 5f here. The benefit of that experience and the extra furlong might be enough to see her open her account. ALLENDE is worth watching on debut, Brett Crawford should have her well-readied for the task at hand.

SENHORA VICTORIA is a progressive Glen Puller filly who showed her best yet when 3rd after being upped to C&D. She’s good enough to mount a convincing bid here today. PRINCESS LOUISA fared much better than the raw result when 7th over 7f here in first-time blinkers. They’re shed today and she can make a strong effort from pole position.

SOMERSET MAUGHAM is an honest type who doesn’t often run a bad race. He deserves to win more than he does and this looks a fair opening to add to the tally in ideal surrounds. SPEED MACHINE lived up to the name when bolting up with 6 in hand over 7f here latest. Well-drawn for his first attempt at the mile he can give his stablemate plenty of grief.

ZIPPY OVER has been useful from day dot, finding the frame in 5 of her 10 outings to date. She’s sharpened even more since being fitted with blinkers and looks set for a big effort on return to the mile. ACADEMIC GOLD is respected under penalty having won 2 of her last 3, including over C&D with 5+ in hand. There may be more to come but she is vulnerable here.

PACIFIC GREEN won on debut over C&D before failing to land a blow at Listed level. She recently tapped into that promise with another C&D win in the soft. Conditions are ideal and she can put another foot forward for Justin Snaith. DIFFERENT FACE is a consistent operator who often brings home some minor money. She took another step forward in 2nd over C&D on first run for Eric Sands and warrants plenty of respect.
