CHARLIE’S YARD has benefitted immensely from a change of yard and sphere, winning two of three runs since returning to the flat. He couldn’t weather the 2m at Kempton but now dropped back in trip looks capable of bouncing right back. GHOSTLY is dangerous off the back of a 6+ length Hamilton win but has to weather an unofficial 3lb hike as he loses Oisin McSweeney’s claim. Still, the up in trip looks ideal for him.

Race 2 – Wolverhampton Racecourse
RECKON I’M HOT is an 11 start maiden but has come agonisingly close a handful of times. Last seen 2nd over this trip at Chelmsford by just ¾ of a length, it is hoped the application of blinkers today might be enough to bridge the gap. BRAZEN IDOL had the selection half a length in tow over C&D back in April but looks set for a reversal now only receiving 4lb from the selection.

ROGUE SPIRIT made a strong impression when scoring at Beverley on debut over this trip. He had to settle for a neck 2nd on double bid behind a rival who has gone on to compete at Listed level. This looks a good opening to get right back on track. SHE’S A ROCKET showed marked improvement when 5th on 2nd outing at Sandown. She’s likely to improve plenty and can get involved for George Boughey.

CRUSH AND RUN fired up mid-race when ½ a length 4th at Bath 17 days ago. He has brought home some money in all 7 runs to date and could get back on top if he gives us an entire race now returned to the surface he won his maiden over.

DIAMOND RANGER was a convincing winner on debut at Catterick in May and wasn’t disgraced when a neck 2nd in a 3 horse field at Brighton. Ben Curtis is back in the irons and the pair can seek amends. PUBLIC OPINION is not going to lie down for Willie Haggas, winning by a head over 6f at Lingfield on 2nd outing. She’s expected to relish the return to this trip and can battle the selection for the glory.

LINCOLN PRIDE took a few runs to find her footing but got home by a neck over this trip at Doncaster latest. Having seemingly found her ideal trip she’s tackling the AW and should give quite the account. MONAADHIL can offer the most resistance having scored by a neck over this trip at Chelmsford and won’t be too troubled by the 3lb rise.

CALONNE made a winning return in January and hasn’t been disgraced since, beaten a length in 4th and 2nd respectively. A 1lb hike for the latest over C&D seems lenient and after a few months rest we could see him fire up nicely with Hollie Doyle a pleasing booking. MR FUSTIC did well when home with a length and a half in hand over C&D but might have a tough task now upped 6lb for the showing.
