SLIM JANNIE made a very pleasing debut when 2nd at 20/1 odds over 5f at Scottsville. With that under his belt and a pole positon he can go one better here. TIMEINTHEWOODS took a huge step forward when 2nd by a neck at 18/1 odds on 2nd outing. That’s an adequate perch for a fair challenge here.

TWICE A MIRACLE has been coming to the boil since being fitted with blinkers landing in the frame in all 5 attempts. This small field might be her ideal to get up now given best of the draws. TELL MY FORTUNE needed the outing when 6th on return from several months off. Her prior form sees her a big chance now stripping fit.

KAILENE has been holding her own without winning at Grade level and now down in class and returning to the surface she is 1 from 1 over can see her very hard to beat. SASHAY AWAY has finished behind the selection in the past but has come up better at the weights so could chase her home.

WHAT A BLAST hasn’t been much to write about of late but those efforts haven’t seen him disgraced from a variety of draws. He’s nonetheless capable and now launching from barrier 3 could get his way. CIRO needed the run when 10th here in April and does have a winning chance over a suitable C&D.

CAPETOWN AFFAIR notched back to back runner-up finishes before a lacking 10th when well-backed. We can forgive that effort and now having had a short rest could get it right from gate 1. BRANDENBURG is respected having returned to winning ways narrowly over slightly further here latest. He’s got his work cut out to back it up but looks set for at least a minor prize.

BURMESE TIARA is in a ripe pocket of form, only blemished by a misfire over C&D on penultimate run. Having won 3 of her last 4 and now given best of the draws, she looks primed to resume her tear. POPPY OF BAYEUX misfired latest but her comeback win was powerful. She’s not the most consistent type but has definitely improved for the fitting of blinkers and is well-drawn to build further.

FEARLESS KITTY had excuses latest when 2 lengths beaten into 7th over 5f here. A return to this longer trip might be enough to see her improve on her spate of 2nd place finishes we saw early in the year. MY CHERIE AMOUR returned from 145 days off following a couple of lacking efforts to make a huge splash in start number 3. She got home narrowly but convincingly at juicy 40/1 odds over C&D and looks capable pf more as this seems to be her element.

GIMME A RAINBOW is forgiven a lacklustre effort over 6f here latest. His prior form is strong having been in the money for 5 runs straight. A drop in trip is interesting and he could get his way here from a draw of one. LESLIES PATHTOFAME had issues in the run when 2nd over 6f here on return from 2 months off. He’s capable of going one better if getting a clearer run.
