STATE OF SHOCK has found measurable improvement since being fitted with blinkers. Yet to attract much support from punters, his latest C&D 4th was solid and can be built on here. MASTERFUL GUY was a place behind the skeleton over C&D and seems to have benefitted from the shedding of his own blinkers.

BLUE EYED GIRL was last seen 2nd over this trip at Durbanville. That was her best effort yet and she can continue to come to the boil nicely.

ROD THE MOD made a solid return from a few months off when 4th over C&D in a stronger race. Now fighting fit and eased in task he’s fancied to get his way in ideal conditions. BARNEY MCGREW is interesting on comeback outing after 144 days off. He’s A C&D winner who was in fair form when ending 2021 with a 6th here that is better than the raw result.

He has found 4th the last twice and is capable of bringing home more money.
