A 2lb hike is workable for the neck victory and he can double down with Tom Marquand back in the plate. SOME NIGHTMARE is respected as the sort to perform well fresh and hasn’t been disgraced the last twice here including a head 2nd over 6f in November.

NAJAT had 4+ in hand when scoring on debut over this trip at Thirsk back in June. She was sent right off into Listed ranks by the Crisfords where she misfired and had to settle for 11th. She will have learned plenty that day and can put the lesson to work in much calmer waters. BRIDES BAY has improved for each outing and wasn’t far beaten over this trip at Chelmsford latest. She has a 130 day absence to answer for but still looks capable of making a dent.

HIGH VELOCITY gets the nod on hat trick bid/handicap debut on just 4th outing. He’s off a fair 81 mark and looks hard to peg back over this surface with James Doyle taking over in the irons. LITTLE PRAYER looks best placed to chase home the selection off the back of a couple of narrow defeats into runner-up.

MR PC did his best yet when a short head 2nd over C&D on penultimate outing in a first-time tongue-tie and blinkers loadout. He misfired at Southwell since but the same 50 mark and return here means a similar effort can see a deserved win. NELLIE FRENCH is also appealing based off a couple of past C&D wins and can’t be underestimated from pole position.

RAABEH took 29 starts to get the account open but now he knows what victory tastes like, he can go on well for Antony Brittain. He has some scope for improvement in these ranks and can make a move off 4lb higher. DIRCHILL showed a return to form when 2nd over 6f at Southwell and is respected off the same mark of 47.

KING OF THE SOUTH missed a 4 timer but wasn’t disgraced when 2nd at Listed level over 10f at Lingfield. He can get right back on the scoreboard now returning to the handicap ranks. CELTIC ART has won 2 of his last 3 and hasn’t landed outside the frame since joining the Scott team. He’s making local debut off a very workable 90 mark with Hollie Doyle back in the saddle.

SCARBOROUGH CASTLE found the shortened trip far from ideal latest but a return to the C&D that saw him denied by a neck into 2nd on penultimate run can see him bounce right back into winning ways. AVARICE has found 3rd the last twice and should enter the mix as the sort who should have more than one win under his belt after 20 starts.
