SUGAR BABY has been a reliable performer over CD of late, landing a couple of runner-up finishes before edging out a score last month. A 3lb hike is manageable and he can double down now tasting success. ATIYAH went down by ½ a length to a reopposing rival over this trip at Southwell and has to enter calculations off the same mark.

Race 6 – Newcastle Racecourse
YUKON STAR couldn’t get into gear when 8th on debut at Leicester but was a super neck 2nd at Lingfield over this trip a month ago. With that to work off we can see Charlie Appleby’s charge go one better now paired with Tom Marquand. LET EM HAVE IT was ¾ of a length back in 3rd that day and should be hot on the selection’s heels once more.

VINDOBALA was denied by a neck over C&D latest and gets to try again off the same mark. She has been in fantastic shape since joining Tjade Collier and can notch a deserved 3rd career victory. VIVA VOCE was beaten favourite a couple of times but made up for it when home by ¾ of a length over this trip at Wolverhampton. He is back from a few months off and could go well now 2lb better off due to his rider’s 5lb claim.
