BOY GEORGE has been remarkably consistent of late, with form lines of 2222122. Last seen 2nd to a subsequent 2 time winner at Wolverhampton we should see him right in the midst once more. PORFIN has become a different horse since joining the McEntee team, winning 3 of 5 outings. The AW is where he does his best and he demands respect as he lines up for a hat trick. The trip raises questions but he’s too classy to ignore.

JOANIE’S GIRL showed plenty to like when taking a measurable step forward into 7th at Kempton latest. Now rested for a couple of months and going handicapping off a 51 mark we could see her deliver here. STORM ASSET found a well-treated type too good when 2nd over this trip at Newcastle latest and we could see him build on that now sporting first-time cheekpieces.

TONE THE BARONE fired up in the dying moments at Wolverhampton to land the spoils on comeback from a spell. A clear AW specialist, he should take plenty of beating off 6lb higher in a small field. STRONG POWER is respected having won with conviction and 2+ in hand over C&D 4 days ago. The rapid turnabout is interesting and while they could strike while the iron is hot, he is out of handicap and will do very well to overcome that.

NEANDRA showed an abundance of promise when 3rd at 16/1 on debut at Chelmsford over this trip in December. With that to work from, Andrew Balding’s filly could take a big step forward. AZAHEER unlocked improvement in cheekpieces when 2nd by a head here over the mile latest. Now upped in trip with headgear retained we could see her sharpen further.

NO FLIES ON ME is back from 150 days off after edging out a C&D win by a neck back in August. Mark Johnston’s filly should weather the 3lb hike and post another strong account over an ideal trip. MARIE PARADIS was a much-improved 3rd over this trip at Chelmsford last month. A similar showing here could see her in contention for the spoils.

GOONER BOY is the danger as he goes up in trip and is fitted with blinkers on his 2nd outing since a wind operation.
