WARRIOR BLING is a C&D winner who was a bit underwhelming here latest when 4th after being fitted with blinkers. They come off today and he is looking well-weighted enough to reverse the result. FYNBOS was a couple of places ahead of the selection that day and should feature despite being worse off at the weights.

HELL OF A DUKE has given a mixed bag of results in 3 outings to date but now going up in trip with the application of blinkers we could see a leap forward. SUGAR MOUNTAIN was a pleasing 3rd over 6f here when back from a rest and being gelded. That inspired plenty of hope that he’ll step up over 7f.

ELEODORO did strong late work when 4th over 6f here latest, despite attracting no market support. With that effort to work from and an extra furlong of run we can see a bold bid. THRILLA caught a lot of attention when 2nd at 33/1 on debut here before failing to live up to favourite status when 7th. She remains unexposed and can find improvement with experience.

FLEETING is a consistent Crawford filly who hasn’t landed outside the frame in all 5 outings, including a win over the mile at Durbanville. She has to be of serious interest now having a go at 10f. SONG was last seen a very respectable C&D 2nd and should be in the fray once more despite a lousy draw.

ALINGALONGA scalped an all-the-way winner in the making at 16/1 over the mile here latest and won’t be troubled by the extra yardage or penalty. GLOBAL ALLY wasn’t disgraced when beaten half a length into 2nd on handicap bow carrying plenty of weight. Now upped in yardage he could handle himself better.

BALLROOM BLISS is a C&D winner who was a promising runner up here at the end of November. Not far beaten of late she has a decent draw to press for a 3rd career victory. SILVER SABRE is a reliable type if we ignore latest when bucking her rider. She does well in the blinkers, returned today and can make serious amends.

LILYBELLE won on debut and hasn’t been disgraced in defeat since. She could take another step forward now shifted to 7f but needs to overcome a lousy draw of 10. ADDERBURY LAKE was a promising runner up by ¾ of a length over C&D latest from a wide draw. Now better-drawn and with that under her belt she could press for a deserved post-maiden win.
