Race 2 – Pontefract Racecourse
SCARLET DANCER has measurably progressed with each run to date and opened the account in style at Chester on his 3rd run. He is now making handicap bow and looks the one they all have to account for if sticking to the plotted course. FIFTYSHADESARESDEV is another handicap debutant of note, 71 is a fair mark and he could build on his half-length 2nd at over C&D latest if he doesn’t mind the cut in the ground.

EMINENT HIPSTER fared better than the surface suggests when 3rd by 7 ½ lengths at Sandown in a strong handicap. He should relish the extra furlong and will enjoy the cut in the ground. ALPHA CRU is gunning for her 4th win in 6 outings and could prove too good for the lot off a lenient 2lb rise.

Race 4 – Pontefract Racecourse
FIRST ACCOUNT has won over hurdles and fences and has since returned his attention to the flat. He looks well-treated off a 62 mark with Billy Garritty taking a useful 3lb off. THE RESDEV WAY is interesting making comeback and return to turf off the back of a good 2m win at Wolverhampton back in April. He is 1lb lower and could fire up if not in need of the run.

FAUVETTE gets the nod off the back of a convincing win in a similar event at Yarmouth last time. The 5lb rise looks fair and she can double up with conditions looking ideal. MOTAWAAZY is respected off the back of a hat trick which was secured over C&D latest. He is up 3lb and is looking vulnerable. He isn’t out of it but will have to bring his best yet.

Race 6 – Pontefract Racecourse
TIGER BEETLE wasn’t disgraced when 3rd of 4 at handicap level over 10f here last time. He can put that experience to good work now back in the maiden ranks and paired with Silvestre De Sousa once more. GREAT COMMISSION was toppled into 3rd by ¼ of a length late at Beverley over 10f at 100/1 odds and could go well now afforded a couple more furlongs.

HELM ROCK is highly respected coming down in class after an Ascot affair that while he only beat one home is actually a solid piece of form. He loves a bit of cut in the grass and should be able to mount a comeback effort over his ideal trip. DARK SPEC did some excellent late work when 3rd at Sandown and can take the next step here.

FRANKELIO won over C&D for these connections last year and on return to these surrounds can make amends after finding Thirsk a bit sharp for his liking. Graham Lee is back in the saddle and the pair can reproduce their June 2020 victory. END ZONE had issues mid run at Ayr and is fancied to make some amends.
