RACE 1
PLATINUMCENTS cost $130,000 as a two-year-old in 2018 and could get off the mark at the fourth time of asking. She has displayed mild promise in her career so far, and could have too much speed at the finish for Rank And File and Needs No Alibi.
RACE 2
THE ICE BEAST has recorded some solid times in his morning exercise and receives a tentative vote to score in an open maiden. Venetian Dream and Seazan are others expected to know their respective jobs.
RACE 3
MYSTICAL MOON will have entered a few notebooks when second on stable debut for Victor Barboza Jr last month and, now with promising claimer Cristian Torres on board, is fancied to take the beating. Speed Gracer and Dillon Rocks are both expected to make nuisances of themselves.
RACE 4
Tempus bounced back to something like his best when fourth here in May and has solid claims in this encounter. However, AYCAPOTE wasn’t beaten far when third here last time and rates as the one they all have to beat. $19,000 newcomer El Andariego is another to keep onside.
RACE 5
Wesley Ward appears to hold all the aces here with his newcomers Shan’s Tiger, who has looked useful on the workout track, and AMANZI YIMPILO, who cost $300,000 as a yearling. Tik Tok Famous and Todd Pletcher’s Lady Quintessa are two other six-figure buys to keep a close eye on.
RACE 6
REMASTER has been knocking hard on the door and wouldn’t be winning out of turn. Big runs from No Nay Maybe and Young Raymond would also come as no surprise.
RACE 7
LOVELY LADY LEXI could build on her 6f course second last time now upped in trip and dropped in grade. Don’t Get Khozy and Lady Archa can fight it out for the places.
RACE 8
Awsum Roar has been on the premises the last twice over this track and trip so must be respected, while the prolific The Great Kath is another to note. It could be worth taking them on with TIPLE, who finished with a real flourish when second here last time and this represents a drop in class.
RACE 9
Sole Volante was a good second in a Grade 2 last time, having won at Grade 3 level two starts ago. Shivaree was behind With Verve in a stakes race two starts ago but put in a stunning effort to finish second in the Florida Derby latest. He finished ahead of ETE INDIEN there, but Patrick Biancone’s colt could be better over this shorter trip and revert to the form of his emphatic Grade 2 success.
RACE 10
Third Army is interesting down in class, but GEONOSIS ran a cracking race over track and trip in a better race last time and reverts to a similar level that saw her win with ease two starts ago. Sultry Samurai is capable of mixing it in this company and completes the shortlist.
