Hollie Doyle Ready for Racing Return⏳

Britain’s leading female jockey Hollie Doyle is keeping herself diligent in an effort to be race fit once racing resumes, whenever that might be.

Hollie Doyle, 23, is riding out every day and will be primed for a return to action once the British Racing Authority (BRA) gives Doyle and her counterparts the green light.

“There’s not a lot we can do really. We’ve got to keep the horses going,” Doyle told the local press.

“I’m just riding out every day and getting my exercise. At least we’re all in the same position.

Hollie Doyle’s training partner Tom Marquand is currently in Australia where racing is still being run under strict protocols surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.

Marquand recently celebrated his 22nd birthday in style when he guided Addeybb to victory in the Group 1 Ranvet Stakes at Sydney’s Rosehill Gardens for trainer William Haggas.

The young female jockey will return at the completion of Sydney’s Autumn carnival and may still claim more G1 success with rides slated aboard Addeybb and Young Rascal for Haggas.

While Doyle wishes she was down under with her riding partner and racing competitively, she remains supportive.

“He’s enjoying it down there. He’s just a bit worried about getting home, but he should be all right,” Doyle said.

“He’s just going to ride in the Sydney Cup and then come home.

“He’s doing well and he’s loving it, but he says he doesn’t know how long racing is going to last.”

Doyle enjoyed a stellar 2019, riding 116 winners – a record for a female jockey.

She had also made a bright start to 2020 with 35 winners before racing had to shut down.

Britain receives provisional return to racing date.
