GLIMMERING gets a shout on debut for Tom Dascombe as a well-bred filly who should be suited to this trip. MUKADDAMAH is another newcomer of note for the powerful team of Roger Varian and Jim Crowley. She is already very popular in the betting, suggesting plenty of confidence.

MUTARABBY wasn’t far beaten when 6th at Southwell latest and returns to the C&D he found 3rd over back in 2018. This isn’t a strong field so he could do enough off a 69 mark. LOPES DANCER was decent enough here in 6th and is a past C&D winner who could offer plenty of resistance.

Race 4 – Wolverhampton Racecourse
BEGGARMAN is in excellent shape and wasn’t disgraced when 4th of 4 on hat trick bid at Southwell over this trip. The same mark could see him bounce right back for the in-form Hughie Morrison. CHOCOLATE BOX is respected but is a bit inconsistent of late, he has similarly toppled the reopposing SOCIALLY SHADY along with the selection so the two might have to battle it out. The market certainly thinks so.

SHYJACK hinted at a return to form when ½ a length 2nd over the mile at Southwell. The form has been boosted by the winner since, and the booking of Marco Ghiani off a 1lb lower mark is exciting. TYCHE is a past C&D winner who has found the frame in her last couple of outings here. Harry Russel and his 3lb claim are back and the pair could go close.

GOLDEN FORCE has found the frame the last twice since replacing the visor with cheekpieces. The drop to this trip last time saw him within ½ a length and off the same 81 mark he could go one better from pole position. TADLEEL won with style at Newcastle latest and should fare well, remaining 1lb well-in while under a 4lb penalty.

SIR HECTOR is a local winner who shouldn’t have too much trouble putting another foot forward now dropped in trip off just 2lb higher and fitted with first-time cheekpieces. QAARAAT could have a say in things after posting a couple of useful efforts over this trip at Southwell of late. He does seem somewhat hard to win with for Antony Brittain but could bring home more minor money.
