Race 2 – Wolverhampton Racecourse
MAAHI VE hinted at a revival of sorts when a length 3rd over C&D latest. Off the same mark here and fitted with first-time cheekpieces she can press for a deserved maiden victory. STAGE LIGHTS hasn’t done a whole lot to date but now moving to the care of David Evans and a new track could see improvement.

DARK SIDE PRINCE was last seen scoring a superb hat trick with a C&D win in mid-December. He has a chance to keep the unbeaten streak alive with the 6lb hike fair and manageable. DREAM GAME wasn’t disgraced when 1 ¾ lengths 5th on yard bow/comeback for Matt Crawley. She didn’t get a clear run there and could quite easily make amends here.

Race 4 – Wolverhampton Racecourse
INCOME went down by ½ a length into 2nd on AW debut over 6f at Chelmsford last month. Dropped back to 5f and in receipt of the fillies’ allowance we can see her go one better. MINESBIGGERTHANURS is respected having won with a couple in hand over 6f at Kempton but will do well to concede weight all round.

BLAZING HOT has been doing strong work here of late, backing up a 5f victory here with a 2nd by a neck over C&D. SIR HECTOR had the better of the selection that day but will struggle to affirm the result as the selection is off an unchanged mark while he is 4lb worse off for the effort.

BERYL THE PERIL didn’t get through the whole 7f here latest when 1 ½ length 5th despite winning over the same trip here prior. Back down to 6f she can bounce back rapidly. ROYAL HEART could have more to come after a very pleasing effort in 3rd over C&D, he seems to be coming to the boil nicely.

PARTY PLANNER showed a lot to like when 2nd on yard bow at Southwell latest and that should be form enough to take this sort of thing out. YASMIN FROM YORK could get it right this time after a couple of promising 3rd placed outings on the Tapeta.

EAGLE ONE won over C&D 2 starts back and has the benefit of remaining unexposed for his new yard. RACE CARD is improving with each run and with the hood retained he can build on his C&D 3rd on Boxing Day.
