Race 2 – Wolverhampton Racecourse
SEN DING was touched off in the final moments when 3rd at Lingfield over this trip late last month. Off a 2lb lower mark with Marco Ghiani back in the plate we could see another step forward. OASIS IRLANDS opened the account narrowly on 2nd start at Chelmsford, Amy Murphy’s colt could double down but the 5lb penalty might be too much even with David Probert in the saddle.

CHEROKEE DANCE has found the frame the last thrice since opening the account here over 12f. A 70 mark is perfectly workable and Ian Williams’ filly has the benefit of Richard Kingscote’s service in the irons as she comes down in grade. TRUSTY SCOUT was a solid enough runner-up over 12f here 4 days back. Off the same mark and down in trip we might see him take another step forward in first-time cheekpieces.

Race 4 – Wolverhampton Racecourse
WHITTLE LE WOODS returned to winning ways in a lower graded race at Chelmsford on penultimate outing. Not disgrace when ½ a length 2nd in this class at Kempton since, Mick Appleby’s charge could find first-time cheekpieces and an unchanged mark are enough to get him back on top. MUDLAHHIM demands respect as the sole past C&D winner but has to make amends after struggling over 6f in a Southwell Class 2.

STORM ASSET has found the frame in 3 of his last 4 outings, including a trip win at Lingfield at the start of January. He can land another score from the best of the draws off 3lb higher. LIV LUCKY was beaten less than 2 lengths a 40/1 over this trip at Southwell and has been dropped 1lb.

BARE GRILS is well-drawn as he lines up for a nice C&D hat trick. The 7lb hike will be felt but he’s in a good spot as a progressive sort who should be able to dig deep enough. SHAMSHON is respected coming down in grade after being denied into 2nd by a head over this trip at Lingfield a few days ago.

GOLDEN SANDS gets the nod in this 2 horse race, winning with ease over C&D a month back. A further 6lb hike will be felt but he looks too good for Mark Johnston. HAVANA GOLDRUSH does possess plenty of scope but is likely to have to settle for the minor money.
