Race 1 – Perth Racecourse
ENKI FLACKE won here last year in a bumper and has given a few glimpses of promise in fairly competitive Irish hurdle events since. This might be his opening to get his hurdling account open as he lowers his sights. HOGAN was a much-improved 2nd at Ayr latest and warrants respect for Olly Murphy.
Top Tip – ENKI FLACKE (3)
One to consider – HOGAN (5)

BOB’S BAR returned from another wind operation to narrowly score at Bangor-on-Dee over a few furlongs further. A 3lb higher mark and drop to a trip he has won over timber could see him whip up an unbeaten streak. SPARK OF MADNESS is interesting going chasing off the sane mark he won over timber at Ayr back in November but will may well the outing.
Top Tip – BOB’S BAR (2)
One to consider – SPARK OF MADNESS (3)
Race 3 – Perth Racecourse
RELEASE THE KRAKEN got back into shape when 2nd in first-time cheekpieces at Ayr over this trip latest. He was denied by a nose and can make up for it off 3lb higher here with Brian Hughes back in the irons. WEST LAWN didn’t land a blow in 4th at Kelso latest but is capable and worth chancing again based off her narrow victory at Hexham prior.
Top Tip – RELEASE THE KRAKEN (1)
One to consider – WEST LAWN (5)

CALLE MALVA was doing strong work in 2020, capped off with an 11 length win at Newcastle. An extended absence followed which she made a decent return when 3rd at Carlisle in March. Since pitched into listed ranks where she failed to beat any home, she’s got a simpler task here and could recover well. SEEMINGLY SO had 5 in hand when victorious after being fitted with a tongue-tie along with his usual cheekpieces. He should prove popular and could have more to come under penalty.
Top Tip – CALLE MALVA (3)
One to consider – SEEMINGLY SO (1)
Race 5 – Perth Racecourse
STORM OF LIGHT is a reliable sort who hasn’t landed outside the frame in 5 outings over hurdles. He’s up 1lb for a narrow defeat into 2nd at Uttoxeter and can notch a 2nd win here. PAMMI has to be mentioned whenever she appears here. She’s something of a local specialist and showed improvement when 2nd at Ayr a month back.
Top Tip – STORM OF LIGHT (4)
One to consider – PAMMI (8)

STEELY ADDITION posted a few strong efforts over both types of obstacles when under the care of Philip Hobbs. He hasn’t been seen under rules in over 12 months but has been tearing things up between the flags of late. POINT THE WAY wasn’t taking to the Hunter Chase at Cheltenham latest and now back in calmer waters can make a dent in nice small field.
Top Tip – STEELY ADDITION (5)
One to consider – POINT THE WAY (1)
Race 7 – Perth Racecourse
PETITE RHAPSODY shed the maiden tag in style over C&D last month, leading by 7+ lengths. With that under his belt, he can defy a 9lb hike with a bit of improvement. WARRIORS STORY showed fair improvement when 4th on handicap bow following wind surgery. He went even better to score with 7+ in hand at Newcastle since and is dangerous despite an 8lb rise.
Top Tip – PETITE RHAPSODY (4)
One to consider – WARRIORS STORY (5)
