SAYADAM won on debut in the bumpers at Kelso before brining the form across to timber when home at Warwick. He has since struck the crossbar in both outings since and returns from a spell and wind surgery. He won’t have to lift too much to get back on top here. JUST THE MAN is the danger off the back of a handicap hurdle win over C&D on penultimate outing. He’s got fair claims but a dual penalty sees him limited.

RED HAPPY looks hard to oppose off the back of 3 dominant victories in these ranks. He has plenty more to come and remains fairly treated at the weights. MAGIC DANCER could chase home the selection after a solid Newton Abbot 2nd late last month but admittedly all of these runners have that chance.

LILY GLITTERS took another step forward when 2nd in a similar race at Huntingdon last month. An unchanged mark could see her go one better in a 4 horse field. MOONAMACAROONA is capable of doing plenty of damage in much calmer waters following a very respectable 5th at G2 level at Newbury 18 days ago.

Race 4 – Ludlow Racecourse
TRIXSTER is useful over hurdles and fences, winning with an emphatic 17 in hand on 2nd chase appearance. He’s likely to produce another bold bid under penalty for the in-form Tim Vaughan. BROKEN QUEST is another last time winner under penalty after a respectable but not as impressive 3+ length score at Wincanton 10 days ago.

IF I SAY was tracking to be a major contender when falling 3 out at Wincanton back in December. A break will have done her well and if she isn’t too shaken by that mishap she can gain valuable compensation off the same 90 mark. CHILLABELLA showed her best yet when 2nd at Plumpton latest. She’s since had a short spell and wind surgery so further improvement is on the cards.

Race 6 – Ludlow Racecourse
DIEU VIVANT returned to winning ways at Southwell after a pleasing 3rd on comeback at Bangor-on-Dee preceding that. He’s up a big 10lb for the effort but if he gets settled properly he can double up in a 3 horse field. SOLOMON GREY is placed to offer plenty of resistance off top weight following a couple of placed finishes, but is vulnerable having not won since 2020.

Race 7 – Ludlow Racecourse
MAMOON STAR found the frame in his first couple of outings before being sent off into the Listed ranks at Newbury in February. Not disgraced in 9th, he can bring the experience with him in a much more manageable field for the mighty Fergal O’Brien team. I SHUT THAT D’OR is capable of more after a pleasing 2nd on debut at Fontwell. Colin Tizzard’s gelding has a bit to find on the selection in terms of experience but normal improvement can see him back up that effort well enough.
