LEGENDARY DAY made a pleasing return to action when 3rd at Nottingham a fortnight ago. Off the same mark and with Hollie Doyle taking the ride the pair look capable of a bold showing. ZIGGY found 14f a bit much at York and is expected to make a fair recovery now over the trip he won his maiden over back in July.

Race 2 – Haydock Racecourse
LAKE MARIE chased home a very fast and useful rival on debut at Beverley before losing her way a bit at Wolverhampton. She looked like she needed more run and is afforded it here today. EVOLICATT was a fair 4th at Salisbury at the start of the month and is another who looks likely to benefit from a longer trip.

Race 3 – Haydock Racecourse
FLOTUS misbehaved in the barriers before landing 4th at this level at HQ on comeback at the end of April. If her behaviour is better here she’s capable of getting her way with the booking of Silvestre De Sousa a big positive. He has been in the irons for both her career victories. NAZANIN has won at G3 level but was completely outclassed at Newbury at that level last month. That was her comeback run and she’s back over 6f so there’s a fair chance of a bounce back.

FAHARI looks very good on her first start under rules for the Crisfords. She has no shortage of useful relations and should be well-handled by Silvestre De Sousa here. ZEPHINA is the pick with experience and has found the frame in 3 of 4 career starts. She’s down in grade and capable of mopping up here.

AEONIAN kicked things off with a fantastic 25/1 victory by a head at Yarmouth. Now running with experience and going up in trip, Sir Michael Stoute’s colt looks to have a bright future. AL MUBHIR couldn’t live up to the promise of his own debut win when 4th of at Goodwood on comeback but now the pipes are open we could see further improvement.

Race 6 – Haydock Racecourse
SOLANNA is fresh off a convincing hat trick after making a winning return to turf at Nottingham. Three subsequent winners have emerged from that piece of form. The assessor has handed him another 6lb rise but he’s paired with Silvestre De Sousa and is expected to give another strong account of himself. DOUGIES DREAM is the obvious danger being 2lb well-in despite a penalty following a dominant trip win at Newcastle.

RICH KING made an excellent return to action when 2nd at Redcar over this trip at the end of April. A 1lb rise isn’t much to worry about and he should have plenty more to come, the form having taken a nice boost since. ANIMATO is capable of having a say after 3rd by a head over this trip at Beverley.
